This may seem like an obvious one but to keep your wallet and sketchbook looking nice, pull your wallet out when you sit. It's actually better for you too. Sitting on a wallet creates an asymmetry or imbalance that distorts your pelvis and hips. So pull your wallet out when you sit for the health of your sketchbook and your back! 

Get rid of frays the easy way.

It's normal to get little frays after you've had your wallet for awhile. To get rid of them just take a lighter and hold it to the loose threads and they evaporate like magic.
